On September 7th 2012; Canada, under the stewardship of Prime-Minister Stephen Harper told Iranian diplomats that they had 5 days to get out of his country. And out they went!

The decision is primarily in solidarity with Canadians imprisoned in Iran.

  • Hossen Derakhsan, 35, was sentenced to 19 years in prison for blogging.
  • Ghassemi-Shall, 43, faces a death sentence after being charged with espionage when he returned to visit his family four years ago.
  • Saeed Malekpour, a web programmer from Ontario is on death row after being charged with promoting pornographic websites. He claims that he was tortured into confessing to crimes.
Other reasons:
  • Support for Syrian President Bashar Assad
  • Dishonesty in its dealing with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Nuclear Weapons
  • Support of groups such as Hezbollah and Hamas
  • President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's rhetoric directed at Israel

The decision should by the Harper administration should prove the benchmark for other countries and the UN in how to deal with Iran. They are the chief sponsor of terror throughout the world, the most homophobic and intolerant country in the world and they should NOT be allowed to address the world at the U.N. General Assembly this month in New York.

When PM Harper speaks at the U.N he should admonish the world for their failures in dealing with the biggest threat to civilisation since Nazi Germany.

The media are going into overdrive after Mitt Romney said that a huge chunk of Obama supporters who "don't pay taxes" will never vote for him as they believe they are "victims" and will back the president "no matter what."

In other news Barack Obama, in a 1998 conference, said that he believes in "redistribution."
Obama also said in 2008 “I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody."

I really don't understand the furore over this.  Romney and Obama were telling the truth. Everyone knows that team Obama is about ‘victimhood’ and that team Romney is about ‘prosperity’.

While we are talking about the truth...........

On Sept. 11 there was an attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya which left the U.S. ambassador J.Christopher Stevens and three others dead.

After his feeble statement and visit to the State Department; The President had the following presidential schedule:

6:50 PM
The President arrives Las Vegas, Nevada

9:10 PM
The President delivers remarks at a campaign event

10:25 PM
The President departs Las Vegas, Nevada en route Aurora, Colorado

When you see an ambassador of your country being dragged through the streets, that should make your blood boil! The idea of fundraising should be the last thing on your mind. It should have  been unconscionable to even think about $$$$ for an election until the perpetrators of this attack had met the full force of American retribution. Well, not with Barack Obama!!!!
Not only did he go to Vegas, he then said to a group of DNC volunteers:

“The sacrifices that our troops and our diplomats make are obviously very different from the challenges that we face here domestically but like them, you guys (volunteers) are Americans who sense that we can do better than we’re doing….I’m just really proud of you”

So David Axelrod and all the folks  are as important as the solider serving in the Afghanistan!
We can now add our brave soldiers serving throughout the world onto the Obama apology list
Well done Mr. President.

Amb. J.Christopher Stevens

President Obama on the Arab Spring back in 2011:
"through the moral force of non-violence, the people of the region have achieved more change in six months than terrorists have accomplished in decades."
On Sept. 11 there was an attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya which left the U.S. ambassador J.Christopher Stevens and three others dead.

Think about it; a U.S. Ambassador was killed by Islamic fundamentalists in Libya. The American people are outraged and so should President Obama.
Obama Rose Garden
The President gave a statement in the Rose Garden the next dayHave a look at way in which he gave the statement. He wasn't talking to the camera, he was talking to a piece of paper!! The President should have been outraged, unscripted, emotional and looking straight into the camera telling the world that 'you don't mess with America'!!!!
We got none of that. It was a feeble statement which wouldn't scare a bird; let alone a radical Islamic terrorist.

The riots have continued in Libya, Sudan, Yemen and in  Egypt with protests outside the U.S. Embassy in Cairo.

President Obama issued a statement:
"I don't think that we would consider them (Egypt) an ally, but we don't consider them an enemy,They're a new government that is trying to find its way. They were democratically elected. I think that we are going to have to see how they respond to this incident. If Egypt takes actions that indicate they're not taking responsibilities, as all other countries do where we have embassies, I think that's going to be a real big problem."
So, Obama has refused to scold the Muslim Brotherhood who control Egypt and will continue to supply them with $1.5billion in aid for the coming year.

Governor Mitt Romney held a press conference (before Obama) in which he made the following statement:
Romney Press Conference

"We mourn their loss and join together in prayer that the spirit of the Almighty might comfort the families of those who have been so brutally slain.
Four diplomats lost their life, including the U.S. ambassador, J. Christopher Stevens, in the attack on our embassy at Benghazi, Libya. And of course with these words I extend my condolences to the grieving loved ones who have left behind, as a result of these who have lost their lives in the service of our nation.
And I know that the people across America are grateful for their service. And we mourn their sacrifice.
America will not tolerate attacks against our citizens and against our embassies. We’ll defend also our constitutional rights of speech and assembly and religion.
We have confidence in our cause in America. We respect our Constitution. We stand for the principles our Constitution protects. We encourage other nations to understand and respect the principles of our Constitution, because we recognize that these principles are the ultimate source of freedom for individuals around the world.
I also believe the administration was wrong to stand by a statement sympathizing* with those who had breached our embassy in Egypt, instead of condemning their actions. It’s never too early for the United States government to condemn attacks on Americans and to defend our values."

*Romney was referring to the below statement from the U.S. Embassy in Cairo prior to the terrorist attack:
“The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims — as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others.”
President Obama  issued a tweet standing by the Embassy statement.
He later  attacked the Romney statement on this crisis:
"Governor Romney seems to have a tendency to shoot first and aim later. And as president, one of the things I've learned is you can't do that. That, you know, it's important for you to make sure that the statements that you make are backed up by the facts. And that you've thought through the ramifications before you make 'em."
American soil is under attack, an Ambassador has been killed and with riots continuing and more lives at stake, Obama is attacking Mitt Romney more than the people who carried out these coordinated terrorist acts.
America is perceived to be weak and radical Islam know it!

The world is finally coming round to the reality that so-called 'Arab Spring' was a vessel for Islamic fundamentalists to gain control of governments, enact Shariah  Law and hasten the coming of the Caliphate.
Now that the facts are coming out for everyone to see;  President Obama will have a hard time justifying his support of the Arab Spring.

Obama at his acceptance speech last night essentially asked for more time.

“I won't pretend the path I'm offering is quick or easy.  I never have.  You didn't elect me to tell you what you wanted to hear. You elected me to tell you the truth.”
He did say that it was a one term proposition if he didn’t get the job done. But I guess he misspoke.

The speech was full of vague ideas. No substance or harkening back to signatures achievements. That was the message of his convention.
The Mainstream Media, as I forecasted, were all over this speech. Just watch MSNBC and you would’ve thought that the messiah had actually come last night.
They were fawning over the substance of this speech!
Can you believe that?? Was there any substance to his speech?
"Help me recruit 100,000 math and science teachers within ten years, and improve early childhood education."
"I'm asking you to rally around a set of goals for your country, goals in manufacturing, energy, education, national security, and thedeficit; real, achievable plans that will lead to new jobs, moreopportunity, and rebuild this economy on a stronger foundation. That's what we can do in the next four years, and that's why I'mrunning for a second term as President of the United States."
Absolutely no way in telling us how it will be done. It looked good, but was meaningless.

"Over the next few years, big decisions will be made in Washington, on jobs, the economy; taxes and deficits; energy, education; war and peace, decisions that will have a huge impact on our lives and our children's lives for decades to come. And on every issue, the choice you face won't be just between two candidates or two parties. It will be a choice between two different paths for America.A choice between two fundamentally different visions for the future.Ours is a fight to restore the values that built the largest middle class and the strongest economy the world has ever known."
That was the best line from his speech. What is amazing is how he didn't bother to explain what he has done in the fours years as President to enhance jobs, the economy; taxes and deficits; energy and, how all of a sudden, he will be able to do that for his second term.
He couldn't do it with a fillerbuster proof majority, nor with a split control of Congress, what makes you think we should him believe now?

He attacked tax cutting when it was tax cuts that created a boom in 1980 under Reagan and the growth under Bill Clinton.

On Foreign Policy, he directly misled people about how Romney would appear to be inept in that arena. See my blog: Obama Myth for more details about who really is inept.

He talked about reforming the tax code, when he did nothing for two years with sole control of Congress.

He doubled down on his support of 'ObamaCare', in-spite of the 'shellacking' he took in 2010.
In what was the most despicable line of the night; he attacked Mitt Romney’s Medicare plan:
“Over and over, we have been told by our opponents that bigger tax cuts and fewer regulations are the only way; that since government can't do everything, it should do almost nothing. If you can't afford health insurance, hope that you don't get sick."
That is totally not in keeping with the office of President of the United States.

Overall his speech was flat. His delivery was brilliant, but politically it was inept. Obama failed! He didn't answer the question which has come back to haunt the Obama administration from Ronald Reagan: 'are you better of than you were four years ago'.

The Obama campaign have one big problem facing them in this election and that are "Facts" according to John Adams (second U.S. President) he said that "facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence."

The facts are: $16trillion in debt, 8%+unemployment and high gas prices and no plan from Obama to rectify that at all.

Obama screws Israel AGAIN!!!

At the Democratic National Convention this week, the reference to  Jerusalem being the capital of the state of Israel and the reference to GOD was removed from their party's platform.

Democrat Illinois Senator Dick Durbin was asked a simple question by Fox News anchor, Brett Baier about the omission but was unable to respond at all. Have a look:

Last night the Convention reinstated the two phrases which were omitted. When that was announced, it evoked a mixed reaction with booing and cheering from the crowd.

Let me remind you that this isn't the first time that the Obama has tried to cleanse Israel from his party. Back in August 2011,  It was reported that the Obama White House was cleansing Israel from it's website Obama Cleanses Israel.

That certainly is CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN!

Wednesday, 5 September 2012

Speaker after speaker completely trashed Governor Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. The chairman of the California Democratic Party likened Paul Ryan to the Nazi, Joseph Goebbels, but later apologised.
The reference to GOD was removed from their party platform (first time in history) and Obama doesn’t believe that Jerusalem should be the capital of Israel.

The national debt surpassed $16 trillion as the Convention was called to order but nothing was said about that, nor was anything said about the 23 million under or unemployed people in America.

They talk about protecting the ‘middle class’, but fail to mention any ideas to improve lives and create jobs.
Attack was the theme of the night, the convention and for the rest of the campaign.
From what it sounds like, Romney would appear to be the incumbent and Obama the challenger.
No word on the fact that Obama had 24 months of a super majority in both houses in Congress and heralded the worst post recession recovery in modern times.

The most hilarious speech from last night was from San Antonio Mayor, Julian Castro. Clearly they think he is the man for destined for the Oval Office in 2016, 2020 and beyond. The problem is that when you compare him to the GOP keynote speaker, Chris Christie  he looked tame, partisan and out of touch. Whilst Christie spoke about a solution to the gridlock in Washington; Castro spoke about the need to give Obama a clear hand to complete his work. He was purely delusional and is the rest of the Democratic Party. Castro said:

"Despite incredible odds and united Republican opposition our president took action. And now we've seen 4.5 million new jobs."
  • Between 2008 and 2010, there wasn’t any opposition. This is slowest recovery in history.
  • The ‘jobs’ data that he spewed has been generally refuted by almost everyone.

Kathleen Sebelius HHS Secretary didn’t read the Romney-Ryan Medicare plan. She also never read the 'ObamaCare' legislation but that didn’t stop her from saying this:
"So instead of the Medicare guarantee, Republicans would give seniors a voucher that limits what's covered."
If she read it, she would’ve known that what she said was a load of rubbish.

Harry Reid talked about Romney not disclosing his taxes and his offshore bank accounts. He was joined by Ted Strickland and Lily Ledbetter in that charge.

All of the above was in accordance with their campaign slogan, ‘FORWARD’.

Knowing that they haven’t a record to run on; they decided to double down on supporting ‘ObamaCare’. Isn’t it amazing that they did, considering they received a ‘shellacking’ the last time they endorsed such an idea near an election?

Michelle Obama also spoke last night.
It is amazing what the media have done to her. In 2008, she called America a “downright mean nation” and was called a liability by all and sundry. So, Axelrod and Plouffe demoted her to being a ‘yummy mummy’ fitness guru; and now she is tremendously popular with the Democratic base.
Nevertheless, she did speak well last night but the problem with her speech was that it wasn’t in tune with the facts on the ground.

The speech she gave, was great for a person aspiring to get a job, not an incumbent President seeking re-election.
We all know who Obama is; we've been told time and time again. We all know what he has done to the economy and how he has run his White House and now re-election campaign.
The media and liberals have hyped her speech but it doesn’t change the state of the election, which is $16,000,000,000,000+in debt and 8.3% unemployment.

Worried about an empty convention

"if you don't have any fresh ideas, then you use stale tactics to scare the voters. If you don't have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from."
Senator Barack Obama, at the DNC in Denver,2008

On Thursday night, Barack Obama will speak at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina. The liberals in the media will primarily laud his oratory skills; but the substance will go relatively unnoticed.  No matter what happens, the speech on Thursday night will be far different than in 2008. For a start, it will not be in a stadium filled with coliseum's, it will not be packed and it will be negative. He will speak for an hour and will look to destroy Mitt Romney. An amazingly, at the same time, he will ask for a second chance.

Colossal failure since 2008

Have a look at the text of his speech (below) back in 2008 when he was a mere candidate. The room was filled with adoring people who genuinely believed the promises from 'anointed one'.
I have inserted comments at appropriate areas from his speech; which I hope, will prove to you that he has been a miserable failure who must be defeated in November 6. It will also show, how much of an 'empty-suit' he really is and how he has hoodwinked the American people since his election.
American's are worse off under his 'leadership' and I urge everyone who watches his speech to focus on what he is saying, not how he is saying it. Focus on his record, not his smile. Focus on you, not him. This election is about you, not him. It is not about one man and his quest to fundamentally transform America; it is about making America prosper for you

{Obama} Tonight, more Americans are out of work and more are working harder for less. More of you have lost your homes and even more are watching your home values plummet. More of you have cars you can't afford to drive, credit card bills you can't afford to pay, and tuition that's beyond your reach. These challenges are not all of government's making. But the failure to respond is a direct result of a broken politics in Washington and the failed policies of George W. Bush.
Essentially you can change the name from Bush, to Barack Obama. The economy is flat, the housing market is weaker and foreclosure rates are high. If, Obama had a conscience, he would admit that he has failed. Instead he continues to blame his predecessor.
{Obama} America, we are better than these last eight years. We are a better country than this. This country is more decent than one where a woman in Ohio, on the brink of retirement, finds herself one illness away from disaster after a lifetime of hard work. This country is more generous than one where a man in Indiana has to pack up the equipment he's worked on for twenty years and watch it shipped off to China, and then chokes up as he explains how he felt like a failure when he went home to tell his family the news.
The jobs market has got worse, Mr. President. Companies are moving overseas due to a variety of Obama polices which get in the way of prosperity.
{Obama} McCain said that the fundamentals of the economy are strong.
Obama said that the private sector is doing fine!
A nation of whiners?
Attorney General, Eric Holder called America a ‘nation of whiners’.
{Obama} We measure progress by how many people can find a job that pays the mortgage; whether you can put a little extra money away at the end of each month so you can someday watch your child receive her college diploma. We measure progress in the 23 million new jobs that were created when Bill Clinton was President.
You can quote Clinton all you like, but the fact is there are 23 million people out of work, or, underemployed in this Obama economy.
{Obama} We measure the strength of our economy not by the number of billionaires we have or the profits of the Fortune 500, but by whether someone with a good idea can take a risk and start a new business, or whether the waitress who lives on tips can take a day off to look after a sick kid without losing her job - an economy that honors the dignity of work.
Can you say that, that has been the case? Obama has been the least friendly for job creating since he was sworn in.
{Obama} What is that promise? It's a promise that says the market should reward drive and innovation and generate growth, but that businesses should live up to their responsibilities to create American jobs, look out for American workers, and play by the rules of the road.
Obama has stood in the way of creating jobs. Unemployment has been below 8% since January 2009!!!!
{Obama} Ours is a promise that says government cannot solve all our problems, but what it should do is that which we cannot do for ourselves - protect us from harm and provide every child a decent education; keep our water clean and our toys safe; invest in new schools and new roads and new science and technology.
Stimulus package failed. Education has gotten more lousy.
{Obama} Our government should work for us, not against us. It should help us, not hurt us. It should ensure opportunity not just for those with the most money and influence, but for every American who's willing to work.
Isn’t that funny? 'ObamaCare' was passed against the will of the people. It was a cynical move by Obama, not in keeping with his 2008 promise.
{Obama} That's the promise of America - the idea that we are responsible for ourselves, but that we also rise or fall as one nation; the fundamental belief that I am my brother's keeper; I am my sister's keeper.
Obama has done brilliantly to put America into focus groups.
{Obama} That's the promise we need to keep. That's the change we need right now. So let me spell out exactly what that change would mean if I am President. Change means a tax code that doesn't reward the lobbyists who wrote it, but the American workers and small businesses who deserve it.

The following lobbyists have worked in the Obama administration: Eric Holder, Tom Vilsack, William Lynn, William Corr, David Hayes, Mark Patterson, Ron Klain, Mona Sutphen, Melody Barnes, Cecilia Munoz, Patrick Gaspard & Michael Strautmanis.
In addition the Tax Code hasn’t changed.

{Obama} Unlike John McCain, I will stop giving tax breaks to corporations that ship jobs overseas, and I will start giving them to companies that create good jobs right here in America.
Remember Solyndra??
{Obama} I will eliminate capital gains taxes for the small businesses and the start-ups that will create the high-wage, high-tech jobs of tomorrow.
Didn’t happen!
{Obama} I will cut taxes - cut taxes - for 95% of all working families. Because in an economy like this, the last thing we should do is raise taxes on the middle-class.
ObamaCare and with the expiration of Bush tax cuts will increase taxes. The stimulus plan, is where the tax rebate was arranged, hasn’t lowered unemployment.
{Obama} And for the sake of our economy, our security, and the future of our planet, I will set a clear goal as President: in ten years, we will finally end our dependence on oil from the Middle East. Washington's been talking about our oil addiction for the last thirty years, and John McCain has been there for twenty-six of them. In that time, he's said no to higher fuel-efficiency standards for cars, no to investments in renewable energy, no to renewable fuels. And today, we import triple the amount of oil as the day that Senator McCain took office. Now is the time to end this addiction, and to understand that drilling is a stop-gap measure, not a long-term solution. Not even close. As President, I will tap our natural gas reserves, invest in clean coal technology, and find ways to safely harness nuclear power. I'll help our auto companies re-tool, so that the fuel-efficient cars of the future are built right here in America. I'll make it easier for the American people to afford these new cars. And I'll invest 150 billion dollars over the next decade in affordable, renewable sources of energy - wind power and solar power and the next generation of biofuels; an investment that will lead to new industries and five million new jobs that pay well and can't ever be outsourced.
We are further away now, than ever in gaining energy independence. Obama has stood in the way of coal and drilling for oil due to his infatuation with the environmental lobby.
{Obama} America, now is not the time for small plans. Now is the time to finally meet our moral obligation to provide every child a world-class education, because it will take nothing less to compete in the global economy. Michelle and I are only here tonight because we were given a chance at an education. And I will not settle for an America where some kids don't have that chance. I'll invest in early childhood education. I'll recruit an army of new teachers, and pay them higher salaries and give them more support. And in exchange, I'll ask for higher standards and more accountability. And we will keep our promise to every young American - if you commit to serving your community or your country, we will make sure you can afford a college education.
Notice how he said: “I'll recruit an army of new teachers, and pay them higher salaries and give them more support. And in exchange, I'll ask for higher standards and more accountability.” Surely you should be asking for performance related pay. He is indebted to the unions on this one and is bankrupting the future of America.
{Obama} Now is the time to finally keep the promise of affordable, accessible health care for every single American. If you have health care, my plan will lower your premiums. If you don't, you'll be able to get the same kind of coverage that members of Congress give themselves. And as someone who watched my mother argue with insurance companies while she lay in bed dying of cancer, I will make certain those companies stop discriminating against those who are sick and need care the most.
‘ObamaCare’ hasn’t lowered premiums, nor increased quality of car has resulted in doctors leaving the profession.
{Obama} Now is the time to change our bankruptcy laws, so that your pensions are protected ahead of CEO bonuses; and the time to protect Social Security for future generations.
Auto Bailout helped Union pensions. Social Security is crumbling.
{Obama} Now, many of these plans will cost money, which is why I've laid out how I'll pay for every dime - by closing corporate loopholes and tax havens that don't help America grow. But I will also go through the federal budget, line by line, eliminating programs that no longer work and making the ones we do need work better and cost less - because we cannot meet twenty-first century challenges with a twentieth century bureaucracy.
Did you see the stimulus package? It was full of items which should’ve been eliminated.
{Obama} And just as we keep our keep our promise to the next generation here at home, so must we keep America's promise abroad. If John McCain wants to have a debate about who has the temperament, and judgment, to serve as the next Commander-in-Chief, that's a debate I'm ready to have.
For while Senator McCain was turning his sights to Iraq just days after 9/11, I stood up and opposed this war, knowing that it would distract us from the real threats we face. When John McCain said we could just "muddle through" in Afghanistan, I argued for more resources and more troops to finish the fight against the terrorists who actually attacked us on 9/11, and made clear that we must take out Osama bin Laden and his lieutenants if we have them in our sights. John McCain likes to say that he'll follow bin Laden to the Gates of Hell - but he won't even go to the cave where he lives.
And today, as my call for a time frame to remove our troops from Iraq has been echoed by the Iraqi government and even the Bush Administration, even after we learned that Iraq has a $79 billion surplus while we're wallowing in deficits, John McCain stands alone in his stubborn refusal to end a misguided war.
Obama inherited a good situation in Iraq. He merely had to administer the withdrawal.
{Obama} We are the party of Roosevelt. We are the party of Kennedy. So don't tell me that Democrats won't defend this country. Don't tell me that Democrats won't keep us safe. The Bush-McCain foreign policy has squandered the legacy that generations of Americans -- Democrats and Republicans - have built, and we are here to restore that legacy.
Obama is hated more than Bush accordingly to the Arab World.
{Obama} As Commander-in-Chief, I will never hesitate to defend this nation, but I will only send our troops into harm's way with a clear mission and a sacred commitment to give them the equipment they need in battle and the care and benefits they deserve when they come home.
Lead from behind in Libya. Didn’t support green revolution of Iran in 2009.
{Obama} I will end this war in Iraq responsibly, and finish the fight against al Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan. I will rebuild our military to meet future conflicts. But I will also renew the tough, direct diplomacy that can prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and curb Russian aggression.
Russia and China own America on the world stage at the moment. Obama has made America subservient to UN and it’s Human Rights Council.
{Obama} I will build new partnerships to defeat the threats of the 21st century: terrorism and nuclear proliferation
Iran are closer to having a bomb.
{Obama} poverty and genocide; climate change and disease. And I will restore our moral standing, so that America is once again that last, best hope for all who are called to the cause of freedom, who long for lives of peace, and who yearn for a better future. But what I will not do is suggest that the Senator takes his positions for political purposes. Because one of the things that we have to change in our politics is the idea that people cannot disagree without challenging each other's character and patriotism.
Obama doesn’t accept opposing views in his White House, especially a Republican one.
{Obama} America, our work will not be easy. The challenges we face require tough choices, and Democrats as well as Republicans will need to cast off the worn-out ideas and politics of the past. For part of what has been lost these past eight years can't just be measured by lost wages or bigger trade deficits. What has also been lost is our sense of common purpose - our sense of higher purpose. And that's what we have to restore.
Obama hasn’t been bi-partisan, nor deviated from his liberal ideology.
{Obama} Passions fly on immigration, but I don't know anyone who benefits when a mother is separated from her infant child or an employer undercuts American wages by hiring illegal workers. This too is part of America's promise - the promise of a democracy where we can find the strength and grace to bridge divides and unite in common effort.
Failure to propose comprehensive immigration reform, without pet projects would be a start. The DREAM Act would’ve been a Trojan horse for all sorts of liberal pork spending.
{Obama} if you don't have any fresh ideas, then you use stale tactics to scare the voters. If you don't have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from.
President Obama has called Romney a felon, murdering tax cheat!
Thank you, God Bless you, and God Bless the United States of America.

Sunday, 2 September 2012

The Romney convention speech was fabulous. Romney will never be able to speak like Obama; but what Romney did on Thursday night, was do what Obama will never be able to do, which is relate to the everyday family. Obama likes to put everyone into focus groups: There is a plan for an Hispanic, African America, women, veteran, Latino etc. Romney’s 40 minute plus speech focused on an American plan:

"President Obama promised to begin to slow the rise of the oceans and heal the planet. MY to help you and your family."

He also looked and sounded Presidential and Romney is ready for the Presidency.
Before the speech started, he mimicked the intro from the ‘State of the Union’, where he is announced to enter and shakes hands with everyone.
The speech was NOT negative, baseless and derisive about Obama; rather it was a patriotic and pragmatic speech focusing getting American get back to work.

The Obama campaign complain that he didn't focus on specifics. Well, that wasn't true: He touted 5 in his speech:

{Romney} First, by 2020, North America will be energy independent by taking full advantage of our oil and coal and gas and nuclear and renewables.

Obama talks about an 'all of the above energy independence plan'. Clearly that hasn’t happened due to the environmental lobby and in fact, Obama. Romney will tackle this first up which will instantly lower gas prices.

{Romney} Second, we will give our fellow citizens the skills they need for the jobs of today and the careers of tomorrow. When it comes to the school your child will attend, every parent should have a choice, and every child should have a chance.

This was a direct shot at the Teacher’s Union, who have stood in the way of proper education for many a year. The records of Americans in Science and Math are pathetic and Romney will work to improve them.

{Romney} Third, we will make trade work for America by forging new trade agreements. And when nations cheat in trade, there will be unmistakable consequences.

Obama hasn't done nearly enough to renew and create trade agreements. He is also allowing China to ‘run riot’ over America and Romney will deal with that by creating new alliances and supporting countries which need a sound trading with America.

{Romney} Fourth, to assure every entrepreneur and every job creator that their investments in America will not vanish as have those in Greece, we will cut the deficit and put America on track to a balanced budget.

Another shot at Obama, who has increased the deficit exponentially since he took office. You can’t have a stable country with $15trillion dollar debt on your hands.

{Romney} And fifth, we will champion SMALL businesses, America’s engine of job growth. That means reducing taxes on business, not raising them. It means simplifying and modernizing the regulations that hurt small business the most. And it means that we must rein in the skyrocketing cost of healthcare by repealing and replacing Obamacare.

This will be the clincher for Romney on November 6. Obama is perceived to be standing in the way of creating prosperity. With ‘ObamaCare’, threats of increased taxes, burdensome regulations along with a spiralling deficit - there is no way that you can say that Obama is creating an environment conducive to creating jobs. Point 5 talks about a job, which Obama hasn’t talked about at all, which will result in him losing his!

Other lines were brilliantly put forward:

On Foreign Policy:

"I will begin my presidency with a jobs tour. President Obama began with an apology tour. America, he said, had dictated to other nations. No Mr. President, America has freed other nations from dictators."

On his time at Bain Capital:

"Some of the companies we helped start are names you know. An office supply company called Staples – where I'm pleased to see the Obama campaign has been shopping; The Sports Authority, which became a favorite of my sons. We started an early childhood learning center called Bright Horizons that First Lady Michelle Obama rightly praised. At a time when nobody thought we'd ever see a new steel mill built in America, we took a chance and built one in a corn field in Indiana. Today Steel Dynamics is one of the largest steel producers in the United States. These are American success stories. And yet the centerpiece of the President’s entire re-election campaign is attacking success. Is it any wonder that someone who attacks success has led the worst economic recovery since the Great Depression? In America, we celebrate success, we don't apologize for it."

The line of the night for me was:

"Many of you felt that way on Election Day four years ago. Hope and Change had a powerful appeal. But tonight I'd ask a simple question: If you felt that excitement when you voted for Barack Obama, shouldn't you feel that way now that he’s President Obama? You know there’s something wrong with the kind of job he’s done as president when the best feeling you had was the day you voted for him."

In my mind, Mitt Romney is similar to Ronald Reagan and will, if elected, make America that 'shining city on a hill'!!!!
