Despite the fact that I strongly believe that the Health Care bill aka “Obamacare” is an absolute disgrace and it will virtually bankrupt the U.S. government, it is seems likely to pass when it comes up for a vote in the House of Representatives this evening. Once the vote tally reaches 216, subject to a few minor procedural issues, Barack Obama will be able sign his ‘signature bill’ into law.

One of my main frustrations (other than the bribery and corruption) about this entire debate is the Republicans. Yes, they have stood firm in opposition to this “reform package” and have won over the hearts and minds of the American public, who disapprove of this bill but what irks me is why oh why the ‘GOP’ didn’t bring these issues up when they held the majority? Why didn’t someone openly raise the issue of TORT Reform, or lifting the ban denying people the chance to purchase insurance across state lines? The GOP got kicked out in 2006 exactly for that reason. They were nowhere to be seen. The odd few senators’ will say that they brought it up at sometime or another, but did they really mean it?

Yes, the Health Care program will probably pass, which will downgrade even further the greatness of America, however, the GOP must take note of what has unfolded here and learn fast. The only reason that a radical president such as Barack Obama was ever elected was due to the consistent failings of the people that we entrusted. Elections have consequences and the bill that is going to be passed tonight is one of them. I am sure that Obama, Pelosi, Reid and the Democrats will get their comeuppance be it in 2010,2012 or 2016, but I am for learning from situations. This event should teach every single congressman, congresswoman or Senator that there are standards that have to be met or else.

As a result of what is bound to happen tonight, I am proposing that the GOP appoint an unofficial leader of the party. The Republicans need someone like Ronald Reagan or Winston Churchill, someone that will never surrender, no matter what. It is now essential that someone like Newt Gingrich or Mitt Romney take centre stage and start talking about common sense, fiscal conservative issues that will restore America to past glories. Someone that will actively seek to repeal Obamacare. Barack Obama will feel like a million dollars but in reality he is in deep political trouble due to the unpopularity of this bill.If the American people know that there is a viable alternative then Obama will be blown out of the water.

Make no mistake with this bill being passed; the battle lines for the 2012 Presidential election have been drawn.

In past articles I have mentioned that Obama is not the friend of Israel that he proclaims. Over the last few days we have learned that the Obama administration has denounced Israel’s plans for a housing project in East Jerusalem.
Vice President Biden accused Israel of “endangering US lives in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. (how does he get to that conclusion???)
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton accused Bibi Netanyahu of “insulting” the US.”
Obama’s chief political adviser David Axelrod even claimed that the Israeli government was “deliberately undermining peace talks.”
All of this despite Obama pledging on his website that “Barack Obama and Joe Biden strongly support the U.S.-Israel relationship, believe that our first and incontrovertible commitment in the Middle East must be to the security of Israel, America's strongest ally in the Middle East. They support this closeness, stating that that the United States would never distance itself from Israel.”

With one fell swoop they have done that.

I have said from the beginning that Israel better watch out with this guy and that he was no friend. Of course the Obama fans will revert back to statements that he made in the past about Israel and the support it receives from the White House but for me the issue is about actions. What actions have Obama and his team taken since he took office? He has intentionally forced Israel’s hand at every opportunity and laid the responsibility solely on one side. All he asks from Abbas and his Palestinian friends is for a statement along the lines of “we promise we won’t talk publicly about the destruction of Israel”. Then Obama has the audacity to question Israel’s commitment to the peace process. Asking that question is like asking someone that has successfully beaten cancer, to prove he wants to live!! It is insane and I am grateful that Netanyahu is starting to stand his ground.

I genuinely cannot believe that I would ever say this, but I think it is time for Israel to move on from America. Israel must proceed as if the United States is a mere afterthought. At some stage I believe that a more reasonable President will occupy the White House who will genuinely believe in what Israel is fighting for, but until that day arrives, Bibi and the State of Israel must move on.
